President’s Message 2017-2018
Dear Members and Friends,
Being originally a Skerries girl, and having moved back to this wonderful town with such a great community, it is a great honour now for me to have been asked to be President. Firstly, I would like to say how very proud I am to have been elected president for the incoming season. I would like to thank our Committee, and all the members involved and volunteers who make us the successful club we are today.
I would like to wish our new club captain Mikey Sherlock along with the players, coaches and management of all the teams under the leadership of Mark Harrington, all the very best for the season ahead. Although we are looking forward to the new season, it would be remiss of me not to reflect on last years successful 90th Anniversary of the Club. I wish to thank everybody who supported the many successful events run throughout the year, the Nigel Owens Dinner, the 90th Anniversary Ball and the memorabilia night.
To our Sponsors, who have supported our Club for many years, I would particularly like to thank you all. As many of you are aware we launched a new Pitch Development Plan last season and we will need all your support and volunteers to implement this important programme, to ensure the continued success of our club.
As your First Lady President, I am looking forward to a challenging season with plenty of hard work, fun and to represent your club around the country.
Sharon O’Buachalla
President Skerries Rugby Club 2017-2018
