One player representative from our 14 teams with the Club President Sean Carron

Further Information
Formed in 1926, Skerries RFC has, today, in excess of 600 members with vibrant and successful adult, youth and mini teams. The attached photo shows a representative from each of our 14 club sides in the company of the club president, Sean Carron.
Since 1962 the grounds at Holmpatrick have served Skerries RFC well but with climate change and close to 50 years of use a complete redevelopment was necessary. The main reasons were constant flooding and injuries due to uneven surfaces. Last season Skerries RFC launched its ambitious new pitch development and fund raising programme replacing the old playing surface with modern drainage, two new state-of-the-art pitches and extended training areas. Ref Photos attached.
The fund raising programme target €180,000
To assist us in reaching this fund raising target we have unveiled a “virtual” rugby pitch. This pitch has been divided into 9,000 square metres which is the area of our main pitch and each of these sq metres can be purchased by members and supporters alike. Contributions vary from the corporate level of €2000 for 100 sq metres all the way down to €20 for 1 sq metre.
All contributors will be recorded on the virtual pitch displayed in the clubs premises. Each of these sq metres is available to members and friends alike and a contribution will result in having your name/company displayed in perpetuity in the clubhouse and website.
Progress to date
Members and friends have already contributed €80,000 to the fund and all their names are on our virtual rugby pitch display both in the bar and function room for all to see.
So from Bahrain to Balbriggan St., from Shenick to Sydney (and all points north, south, east and west!) the members and friends of Skerries RFC now have an opportunity to leave their mark on the “new perfect pitch” in our grounds at Holmpatrick.
By making a contribution today you will assist in a real way, providing top class rugby playing facilities to be enjoyed by all of our community. Please make a contribution, large or small by clicking the link.
We need your help & thank you.
